Massage Guns for Vocal Cord Relaxation: A Niche Recovery Technique for Professional Singers

When I signed my first contract for a grueling, eight-show-a-week national theatrical tour, I thought my classical vocal training had prepared me for any physical demand. When the perilaryngeal muscles lock up, they physically pull the larynx out of its optimal, relaxed anatomical alignment. This forces the actual vocal cords to work exponentially harder to vibrate, leading to rapid vocal fatigue, a loss of high-register range, and a breathy, strained tone.
